Discover something exciting for railroaders of all ages in Stewart Junction! There are many fun and challenging interactive exhibits and educational displays relating to the fascinating history and technology of the railroads that served Pennsylvania and the nation. Stewart Junction is housed in a recreated 1915-era freight station and features a 110-foot G-scale model railroad switching layout, a LEGO train display and building zone, several toy train playtables, an operating telegraph, an HO-scale model railroad diorama, railroad books and magazines, and so much more!
Look for other interactive displays located throughout the Museum! These displays include a recreated locomotive “firebox” where children can pretend to shovel coal, a set of Railway Post Office-style sorting tables where children can pretend to sort mail, and a series of “lift-and-learn” flip panels in the 1915 Golden Age of Railroading Street Scene.
