BARONS & BUILDERS: DAY CAMP 2014

Activities.

Fun.Announcing our five-day program for kids entering 4th to 6th grades to explore the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania and railroad history through a variety of activities.

During the Barons & Builders day camp at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, your child will examine how railroads have played, and continue to play, a major role in the transportation of people and things across America and around the world.  Campers will engage in a number of hands on activities that explore how railroading was developed through science and technology, how it has impacted our arts and culture, and how it has shaped our history. 

 
Camp activities

During their week-long experience, campers may have the opportunity to engage in the following activities:
-- Tour limited access areas and cars in the Railroad Museum.
-- Take a ride aboard anAmtrak and a Strasburg Rail Road train.
-- Build model trains to take home.
-- Build and race magnetically levitated trains.
-- Meet real railroaders and learn about theit jobs.
...Plus so much more!

TWO SESSIONS: July 14-18, 2014 (9 & 10-year-olds only).
July 28-Aug. 1, 2014 (11 & 12-year-olds only).

$125 for Friends of the Railroad Museum members, or $175 for non-members,

Registration
Registration is open to children ages 9-12. 

Families will receive written confirmation of enrollment after their registration form is sent to the Museum.

Limited to 15 campers per session.
