BARONS & BUILDERS: DAY CAMP 2010

Announcing our five-day program for kids entering 4th to 6th grades to explore the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania and railroad history through a variety of activities.

During the Barons & Builders day camp at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, your child will examine how railroads have played, and continue to play, a major role in the transportation of people and things across America and around the world.  Campers will engage in a number of hands on activities that explore how railroading was developed through science and technology, how it has impacted our arts and culture, and how it has shaped our history. 

During their week-long experience, campers may have the opportunity to engage in the following activities:
-- Tour limited access areas and cars in the Railroad Museum.
-- Take a ride aboard Amtrak!
-- Build LEGO cars to take home.
-- Design their own pattern of railroad china.
...Plus so much more!

TWO SESSIONS: July 12-16, 2010 (9 & 10-year-olds only).
July 26-30, 2010 (11 & 12-year-olds only).

Cost Per Camper
$125 for Friends of the Railroad Museum members, or $175 for non-members,

Registration
Registration is open to children ages 9-12. Registration begins in February. Please call after the May 27, 2009 deadline to determine if spaces are still available.

Families will receive written confirmation of enrollment after their registration form is sent to the Museum.

Participation
Llimited to 15 campers per session.
