A magnificent statue of PRR president Alexander Cassatt, who built NY Penn Station, was rescued from NJ Meadowlands where it was dumped, and is in our Museum.
About the main picture above. This picture above was posed the day following No. 460's 1927 exploit in carrying newsreel films of Charles Lindbergh's triumphal reception in Washington, DC to New York City theaters faster than a competing plane. The locomotive is preserved in the Museum's Rolling Stock Hall.
